Hello! It's been a minute since the last email! Life has been BUSY! The last half of 2024 included a tornado devastating my hometown and my parents' house, rebuilding, job loss, new job in one field, new licenses, and new jobs in new fields. A LOT! But, we still made time for ADVENTURE! After the job loss, we hit an epic 10-day road trip out west. After that, we stayed close to home for our year end adventures. Our favorite Arkansas Adventures? Camping and hiking at Petit Jean State Park. My favorite spot in the entire state! This is the most picturesque area in the entire state. For the Full Gallery of Petit Jean Pics --> https://brandiedwards.smugmug.com/Petit-Jean And right now, if you want to camp at any Arkansas State Park, you can get a 15% discount. Promo code WARM15 is valid for 15% off all overnight accommodations from Dec. 15, 2024 - Mar. 1, 2025 Can't decide which park to visit first? Check out some of my articles: https://sunrises2sunsets.net/category/arkansas-state-parks/ New Year!We spent our New Year at the most photographed spot in the state- Whitaker Point (aka Hawksbill Crag). If you haven't made this hike out, it's a MUST! But hit it in the off hours b/c weekends can get busy. Winter is the perfect time! See details of this hike and my other 4 favorite Arkansas hikes: https://sunrises2sunsets.net/arkansas-best-hikes/ We chose to hike out at sunset on Dec 31, and at sunrise on Jan 1. Mother nature was not in our corner, and did not give us a visible view of either. But the hike and views were still amazing! If you are heading out for a cold hike this winter, prep is key! Check out my favorite cold-weather hiking gear: HERE Until next time, get out there and create an adventure for yourself! (anyone with monthly adventures on their New Year's resolution list?) January's adventures were beautiful! Thank goodness for 4x4's which allow us to explore country backroads during the snow. An amazing adventure option is White Rock Moutain for some amazing views in Arkansas. This one requires quite the drive down some dirt roads, but the payoff is amazing! Be sure to...
